old timber house and electricity costs

It won't be an easy winter this year,😟
With these electricity costs, I dare not turn on any heat in the house. It will be very cold, I'm afraid. I already only have around 10 degrees indoors and then it hasn't become real winter yet.😬
I save electricity on what I can, no heating, I shower at work, barely have any lights on and I cook on the wood stove.
I make a fire when I'm at home, on the weekends when I'm off work there's no problem, then yes I can keep warm with wood burning.
It's worse during the weeks when I work and am away 12 hours from the house. I have a 200-year-old croft where fresh weather blows in here and there through the timber 😅 so the heat doesn't stay that long in the house unfortunately.
We'll see how this will go, luckily I have 4 furry dogs who can warm me in bed, like now, when we have morning cuddles.
I drink my morning coffee in bed and all the doggies are in my 120 bed,😅
